When should I order my album?
Well, you can really do it whenever you want. Many people order them at the time of booking, and some people wait until after the wedding. I offer a 10% to couples who order their album before their wedding day.
When do I pay for my album?
I require full payment for your album prior to designing and ordering it.
Do I chose the pictures to go in the album or do you?
I usually recommend that you allow me to chose the images. It’s often really hard for couples to narrow down hundred of images to the ones which go in the album! I always allow my couples to let me know if there are any favorite images of their which they want to be included.
Do I get to review the album before you submit it to be printed?
Sure! I will upload all of the page layouts to an online gallery where you can review the pages. If there are any changes you’d like to make, just shoot me an email and let me know! Some people trust my design ability and don’t care to proof their pages, they like the element of surprise when they see the final product!
What types of materials are available for album covers?
You can chose from a variety of leathers and other materials. Here is a list of the colors you can chose from in leather: black, chocolate brown, brown, tan, camel, khaki, red, navy, pearl. If you’d like a material that isn’t leather, you can chose from a variety of textured or smooth materials in the following colors: white, black, brown, baby blue, pink, champagne, bronze, and cherry red.
Can I get a cover or case for my album?
Absolutely! All albums come in a thick, sturdy black box, but you can also purchase a custom slip cover or beautiful fabric bag to keep your album in.
How long will it take for me to get my album?
From the time that I begin designing your album to the time it arrives at your doorstep can greatly vary. It depends on what time of year it is (album companies get SUPER busy between Nov-Dec.) how many pages your album has (obviously the more pages, the longer it takes me to design), and how many revisions you ask for.Then it takes the album companies anywhere from 2-6 weeks to produce. Typically, it takes about 1-4 months from start to finish.
Do you offer parent albums?
Yep! Parent albums essentially are duplicate albums of yours, but on a smaller scale. I offer an additional 10% discount for parent albums, they make great gifts!
Can’t I just make my own album online?
Yes, you can. But I don’t recommend it!
Here’s why: 1)My computer screen is calibrated to match my album company’s printer, which ensure the exact colors captured on your wedding day. 2)UV coating is something most “DIY” companies don’t offer. So while you may create an album and it may look great, in 2-5 years the pages and pictures will fade, turn yellow and lose their color. Sad huh? 3)Quality of materials. The quality of paper, leather, printing and binding of the companies I use is outstanding. It’s the best you can get. Simply put, many of the non-professional album companies out there just aren’t up to par. You’ll wind up with flimsy pages, cheap or fake leather, and binding that falls apart. No one wants to show off their beautiful wedding photos in a cheap and poorly constructed album.
Ok, I want to order an album. Now what?
Well the first thing we need to do is talk about what kind of album you want, what size and how many pictures you’d like in it. The best way to do this is set up a time to get together and go over all that fun stuff. I’ll bring my samples so you can get a good idea for what you want. From there, you’ll fill out an order form and then you’re all set. Now that wasn’t so bad was it?
