Andy and Krista’s beautiful mountain wedding brought a few firsts for me. It was my first wedding of the 2012 wedding season and was my first chance to use my new Canon 5dmkIII and 135mmL (so in love with both!) at a wedding. It was the first time I’ve seen a moose make an appearance at a wedding (too bad he was hiding in the willows the whole time!). It was the first time I’d ever photographed a wedding with the stomach flu (hopefully the last too!). And it was one of the first times that I found myself thinking “If I could get married all over again, I’d do it like this…”

I loved every single thing about Andy and Krista’s wedding from their laid back approach to the beautiful setting in Keystone, Colorado. There is something so appealing to me when a couple says, “you know what? Let’s just have an intimiate wedding ceremony at our house and invite our close friends and family out to a fabulous dinner with us.” That’s exactly what Andy and Krista did and it was absolutely beautiful. No fussing over too many details, no worrying about crazy timelines and dozens of vendors, no stress. Just family, friends, good food, a beautiful setting and the celebration of a new life together. Love that!

Andy and Krista, I’m so glad you both invited me to be a part of your wedding day! I was so honored to be among the few important people to witness such a beautiful day. Thank you for being such kind and warm-hearted people and for extending that warmth towards me. Your wedding was a beautiful way for me to start my wedding season and I’m head over heels in love with these pictures! I wish you both a lifetime of love.
