Here comes round 2 of Schon and Laura’s wedding. They were married at the Lodge at Cathedral Pines in Black Forest. Wow. What an incredible place! I’d be more than happy to shoot every wedding for the rest of my life at this place. It’s romantic, intimate and very “Colorado.”
The weather was playing a sneaky game on us all day. It would sprinkle, then stop. Then rain a little. Then stop. The sun would come out. Then go away. It was anyone’s guess what would happen during the ceremony. And of course it rained, but not hard enough to stop Laura and Schon from saying their vows in front of their friends and family!
I have already received emails from a few of my current brides saying how much they love the pictures from Laura and Schon’s wedding. Here was Laura’s recipe for success: 1)Do a “First Look” 2)Allot enough time for getting ready and formal pictures 3)100% trust your photographer 4)Have a wedding coordinator! (Thanks Bernadette!)
5)Put your heart and soul into planning your wedding, right down to the last detail!
Here are the rest of my favorites from the day….

I'm so proud of everyone for not falling in for this shot!

This might be my favorite shot of the day. As Laura and Schon said their vows and exchanged rings, it started raining. I don’t know what the actual thoughts in Laura’s head were, but I imagine them to be “You can’t stop this wedding and you certainly will not get in the way of me marrying the love of my life! Bring it on rain!”

I told Schon I loved his smile because it looks like he’s hanging on to a wonderful secret that no one else knows about. Well Schon, your secret is out. She’s walking right beside you in this picture.

Phew! Ok, the 2 part wedding day blog is officially complete! Thanks to all the wonderful folks who have commented on the Part 1! It was a pleasure meeting all of Laura and Schon’s families. I can definitely see where they got their smiles, values, and all around fantabulousness from!
