Fall in Colorado

As I stepped outside this morning, I could have sworn it was January (brrrrrr!). It seems like it went from summer straight to winter in just a matter of days. Fall is my absolute favorite Colorado season and it always seems to go by too quickly. So I thought I should post this blog before it starts snowing and November comes!

Because Colorado’s fall always seems so short, I made sure to take it all in this year: the changing leaves, pumpkin patches, pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks, comfy sweaters, local farmers harvesting crops, apple cider, watching football games, and feeling the crisp air when I was outside. I love it all!

Also, I must admit that I love fall because it usually marks the beginning of the end for my crazy wedding season. I love wedding season, I really do! But 6 months of working 7 days/week can be exhausting! I’m so looking forward to a few extra days of relaxing once winter comes!

David and I took our annual fall drive in Estes Park in early October, where we eat carmel apples, take pictures, watch the elk (ok ok, we really just laugh at all the tourists watching the elk) and talk about how great summer was. It’s one of my favorite traditions that we have together.

I’ve been documenting Colorado’s fall for a few weeks now and I’m glad I finally get to share them! Happy fall everyone, hope you get to enjoy it before it disappears with the snow!

Stephanie Osborne - Ok so all of these are gorgeous, RIGHT? The shot looking UP into the Aspen trees has got to be my fave though. Thank you for this little glimpse of Colorado Fall.

Lori Stant - Love that last shot! Beautiful!
