Danny and Rachele’s wedding was really special for me. Mostly because I just adore them, they are so kind and appreciative and fun to work with. There is nothing better than having clients who trust you and are as laid back and happy as Rachele and Danny! This wedding was also special for me because it took place very close to where I grew up! In fact, their ceremony site was less than a mile away from where my grandmother lived during the Depression. I have generations of family members with strong ties to this part of Colorado Springs. Their ceremony was in Cheyenne Canyon in Colorado Springs, which is just a few short miles from my home where I grew up and right down the street from my junior high and high school. Being there yesterday brought back a lot of memories!
Cheyenne Canyon is absolutely beautiful in the summer. It is lush, almost like a jungle because there are so many trees, vines, flowers and bushes growing. Some of the homes in the Canyon are almost completely hidden from view due to the amount of vegetation there. As you travel up the Canyon, there are lots of beautiful hiking trails, waterfalls and areas to have picnics, it’s absolutely a place you should visit if you’re ever in Colorado Springs!
The weather was a bit worrisome at first. As I was driving down to Colorado Springs, I saw a lot of black clouds looming over Cheyenne Mountain and by the time I hit Cheyenne Canyon, the skies opened up to a massive hail storm. The kind of storm where you have to pull your car over to the side of the road because you can’t see anything. After the hail storm, it rained and then sprinkled and then stopped. Then it rained again. And on and on this pattern went until just before Danny and Rachele had their first look, when it finally stopped all together. Yay! The skies were free of rain for their beautiful ceremony and they were downright clear by the time their Briarhurst Manor reception began! All in all, it was a wonderful day that I was delighted to be a part of.
Danny and Rachele, what a great day! Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege to be with you yesterday. It was such a joy to witness all the beautiful moments that made up your wedding day. Thank you for being the best clients ever! I hope you have a blast in Hawaii and a beautiful life together. Blessings!

Rachele - Becky! These are amazing! You captured so many fun little moments that I didn’t even get to see. The bouquet toss picture makes me laugh out loud every time I see it. Thank you!
