Growing up, my family had a cabin just outside of Breckenridge. We spent all our summers and a good chunk of our winters at that cabin. From fishing to exploring abandoned mines to hiking, we did it all. In a way, I sort of feel like I grew up in Breckenridge since we spent so much time there. The town, the ski resort, the surrounding mountains…they all hold a special place in my heart. When Michelle told me her wedding ceremony and reception were going to be held at at the Breckenridge Ski Resort, I knew I had to photograph this wedding!
Not only did I adore the location of their wedding, but I adore Colin and Michelle too! Talk about wonderful people. These two are about as nice and easy going as they come. Michelle and I have spent dozens of emails chatting about how excited we both we for her upcoming wedding. I just knew this was going to be a special day. And it was!
As we all know, the weather in Colorado (especially in the mountains!) is rather…unpredictable. One minute it’s sunny, the next it’s hailing. It started to rain pretty hard right as the ceremony began, but thankfully it only lasted about 45 seconds. Then the sun came out and provided me with some of the best ceremony lighting I’ve ever had! The dark storm clouds were an awesome backdrop against the mountains for the ceremony! We were all so thankful to have that storm pass us by!
Colin and Michelle, thank you for letting us be a part of such a wonderful day! You both are absolutely wonderful, I couldn’t ask for better people to work with! I thought your wedding was a perfect reflection of who you both are and I was so happy to share the day with you. And I’m sooo excited to share these pictures with you! Blessings!
A few favorites….
Michelle’s dad managed to score an autographed football from Peyton Manning as a wedding gift surprise. How cool!
