I almost didn’t photograph Jenn and Adam’s wedding. Last year, I had accidentally marked myself as booked on the calendar on my website for August 30th, 2009. Thankfully, Jenn emailed me anyway to say hi and to see if I could recommend another photographer similar to myself. I realized what happened and told her that I was actually available for her wedding day, to which she replied “OH MY GOSH!!!!!! I cannot even tell you how excited I am!!!!! You just made my entire week!!!! Yay!!!” (yep, that’s a direct quote from her email).
When I saw how excited Jenn was to work with me, even without meeting me, I knew I was going to love her and Adam’s wedding. And I was right. I LOVED their wedding. The entire day was full of laughter, bright colors, smiling faces, cool breezes, and joy.
One thing which really stood out to me about Jenn and Adam was that they aren’t afraid to show true, deep emotion. It is so refreshing to see a man who is not afraid to shed a tear when he sees his future wife standing before him. And it is so wonderful to see a woman who doesn’t try to hold her laughter to a small giggle. Jenn can laugh! I loved seeing these emotions throughout their day. I think it’s so great when people don’t try to hide how they are feeling on the most important day of their lives.
Jenn and Adam, you are two of the most genuine, and wonderful people I have had the opportunity to work with. I have no doubt that if you lived in Colorado, I would make you hang out with me all the time! I had a delightful morning with you, sharing in your joy and excitement. Thank you for being so laid back and fun to work with, you guys are amazing! I hope you have the time of your lives in Paris! All my best!
Some of my favorites….

A little note Jenn sent over to Adam before the ceremony

This one made me laugh!

Stealing a kiss right after the ceremony

I love Adam’s excitement as they enter the reception!
Since Adam and Jenn had a morning ceremony, they held a brunch reception, complete with a waffle and omelet bar, pastries and other yummy treats!

I LOVED Jenn’s idea for table cards. Each card had one of her grandmother’s buttons on it. It was so elegant!

Adam did the most hilarious dance before the garter toss. I could hardly keep the camera up to my eye because I was laughing so hard!
I got my own little bag of cookies to take home. I’m sad to say that a mere 3 hours later, there are only 2 left.
