Giants

David and I took a quick trip to California this past weekend to visit his parents. It was so nice to get away from the chilly temps in Colorado! We had three quick days filled with birthday cake (both me, my husband and my mother-in law have birthdays within  a 48 hour period!) good conversation, sunshine and a little In-n-Out Burger (come on, you can’t go to California and not go here!) 

We took a quick trip up to Sequoia National Park for a day and explored the forests. I was absolutely astonished at the size of the trees in that park! These things are literal giants. Some of them are taller than the statue of liberty, wider than several cars parked next to each other and weigh over 5 tons!
