2, 271 miles

“Becky could drive 1,000 miles for a good cupcake.”  I heard my mother in-law say these words as we were driving to a cupcake store in CA. And it’s so very true. Well, partially.

You see, that 1,000 miles doesn’t take into account the drive home. But, I would even drive 2,000 (or 2,271 miles to be exact) for a good cupcake. Come on, tell me you wouldn’t do the same for this beautiful iced confection….

On a side note, I don’t recommend that you attempt to drive over Vail pass on the busiest travel day of the year….especially if it is snowing.

Colorado wedding photographySee the part where it says Denver is a mere 2.5 hours away? Well, that was a lie. It should have said 6 hours. Yes, that rights. It took 6 hours to go from Frisco to the Eisenhower Tunnel, which is about 5 miles for those of you unfamiliar with I-70. But Becky, that means you were traveling less than 1mph! How ever did you survive such a terrible thing??  Lots of Diet Coke and Little Debbie snack cakes, thanks to my mother in-law.

Well, at least it was a nice lesson in patience and I got to hang out with my husband as he drifted in and out of sleep…don’t worry, he wasn’t driving. =)
